The Situation
At around 1:30 PM on a quiet road near Marlow, an elderly man was driving his BMW 1 Series when he suddenly hit a large log lying across the carriageway. The impact wasn’t severe, but it was enough to immediately deflate the front tyre. What We Did

- Tyre inflated to 34 PSI – We inflated the new tyre to the correct pressure as specified by BMW.

- Wheel refitted – The tyre was mounted back on the vehicle, aligned and secured.
- Bolts torqued to 140Nm – We followed the BMW torque spec to ensure safe fastening.
- Checked all four tyre pressures – We didn’t just stop with the new tyre. All other tyres were inspected and topped up as needed.
- Reset TPMS warning light – The tyre pressure monitoring system was reset so the dashboard light cleared before the customer drove off.
